I really love Noel Fielding.
Yeah, I know, most people do.
I don’t, however, just love him because of his looks, or his fashion sense, or even really his humor.
Just the way that he acts is so incredibly sweet, I can’t even explain it. Like on the Buzzcocks, he’ll tell a joke, but cut off near the end in laughter at his own joke, and the audience laughs along with him. He can say anything and laugh at it, and in an infectious way, it makes everyone else laugh too.
Tonight I watched the episode with Kristen Schaal, and he always seemed to go back to her for confirmation of an answer, to look back at her after a joke to make sure it made sense to her as a foreigner, and laughed the hardest at all of her jokes. It was so cute, the extra amount he put in to look out for her. He even did this for the other member of his team, Richard Fleeshman, by getting personally offended at Simon’s teasing, and making joke threats if he tried to do it again.
His attitude about everything is just perfect, and he is just so, I’ll say it again, sweet. It’s really no wonder so many people love him.
That’s not to say, however, that his looks, fashion, and humor don’t help to make him this lovable, because they do, they really do.
